Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is established by Dr. Timothy Francis, a veteran practitioner with over 30 years of clinical experience in chiropractic care, applied kinesiology, and homeopathy. Recognizing the rigorous demands of medical training, Dr. Francis aims to alleviate financial obstacles for students who demonstrate a high level of academic merit and a unique vision for the future of healthcare. Through this essay-based contest, we seek to identify individuals who are passionate about advancing patient care through research, holistic methodologies, and lifelong learning.

Criteria

To be considered for the Dr. Timothy Francis Scholarship, applicants must meet the following professional and academic requirements:

  • Academic Standing: Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited medical school, chiropractic college, or naturopathic medical program, or be an undergraduate student on a documented track toward a healthcare career (Pre-Med, Pre-Chiropractic, Pre-Naturopathic, Biology, etc.).

  • Merit: Applicants should demonstrate a strong academic record and a commitment to the medical and wellness sciences.

  • Essay Submission: Applicants must provide a high-quality, original essay (700–1,000 words) responding to the following prompt:

Essay Prompt: “How do you envision the integration of traditional medical practices with alternative or holistic methodologies, such as applied kinesiology or homeopathy, improving patient outcomes in the next decade of healthcare?”

One time award of $1,000

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is December 15, 2026.

Winner Announced

The winner of the scholarship will be announced on January 15, 2027.
